There’s a buzz and level of excitement for the new Wii video game Disney Epic Mickey I haven’t seen since Pac Man Fever. Did I totally date myself with that reference? People were clambering to get a sneak peek at the game before it was released at the Festival of the Masters. Our conversation with Epic Mickey creative director Warren Spector set a DIS Unplugged record for comments on a blog. The game was launched Nov 30th at an event at the Times Square Disney Store complete with Dancing with the Stars champion Jennifer Grey, her co-competitor Kyle Massey, and a rare appearance by Steamboat Willie himself. However, even though Epic Mickey has launched, we at the DIS Unplugged are not through giving away prizes. This would be such a great Christmas gift- and the gift card would be awesome!
I’m really exited about this game. It is cool how they worked all the history of past and forgoten Disney characters.
I have heard so many good things about this game and I would love to win it and the gift card…. I am trying to make this the happiest christmas that I can since I do not know what the new year is going to bring for me…. I currently had surgery to place a fistula for dialysis access and am currently sitting on the waiting list waiting for another kidney while friends and family are being tested as donors….
This game would help me take my mind off of things and the gift card would allow me to buy some things that would brighten my day also…..
So I hope that I can have a chance at winning it would really make my holiday just that much more special

I’m not really one for video games, but, occasionally, one comes along that tempts me. I had a great time playing Toy Story Mania when we first got it…before the boys moved it to their bedroom, lol! I can’t wait to get to play this game…I may have to sneak the game system back downstairs!

I must say from all the reviews I have read, including this fabulous one, I am so excited for this game. I think it brings Mickey into a whole new light and actually can catch the attention of the male population, something Disney is trying to improve on while marketing.

I’m excited to get Epic Mickey to be able to spend some time with my girls this Christmas. Not many games allow a parent to be able to interact (and actually enjoy the time!) with both a 4 year old and 16 year old. My DD who loves all things Disney would love this game. I have never played an RPG (think thats the term) game, so figure might as well give it a try with Disney 🙂 Each time the commercial comes on Lorelei says she wants Hoho to get it for her. With her brother coming home from Afghanistan for the holidays this would be a neat game for him to walk his little sister through since hes an expert at games and she is only 5 🙂 Happy Holidays to all and I hope everyone gets what they want I know I will be with my son coming home
