  • Mickey’s Halloween Party 2010 at Disneyland

Greetings everyone.  I’m one of the newest DIS Unplugged Blog contributors, Disneyland correspondent and a part of the new DIS Unplugged Disneyland podcast.  This is my first Blog and I’m still trying to find my style and figure all this out.  So here we go. This year, the Disneyland Resort moved Mickey’s Halloween Party, its…

  • Video: Disney Executives Discuss New DVC Property Aulani

Disney released a video where Joe Rohde, Senior Creative Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering, discusses the story behind Aulani, the Disney Vacation Club property currently under construction in Hawai’i.  Djuan Rivers, Vice President for Disney Vacation Club and Resort in Hawai’i, says the resort is meant to be a reflection of Hawai’i culture. • Mulholland Madness becomes Goofy’s Sky School

Yesterday, Disney closed the Mulholland Madness ride at Disney California Adventure. Mulholland Madness was one of the original rides created when the park opened in 2001 and, like the Maliboomer, represents to many the initial failed concept for the park. In recent months a quiet controversy has been brewing over Tigger Tails at Disneyland’s Pooh Corner. And this has left…

  • The Great Disney Scavenger Hunt at Disneyland Resort

It was bright, early, and hot at the Disneyland Resort on Sunday, September 26 as approximately 2,000 participants gathered for the D23’s inaugural Great Disney Scavenger Hunt. I had never done anything like this before, but am a huge Disney fan and love competitions. Here is my experience of D23’s Great Disney Scavenger Hunt.

  • Tony-Nominated John Tartaglia Performs at Disneyland

On September 24th and 25th, 2010, Disney’s official fan club, D23, celebrated the history of the original Disney theme park with an event in Anaheim called Destination D: Disneyland ’55.  Disneyland Correspondent Tom Bell was on hand to cover the event, and said one of the highlights of the first day was a concert called…
