The issue we had with the Express Pass was at Despicable me at the end of the night. Since there is no cut-off time for the pass & this attraction is at the front of the park, everyone seemed to use an Express Pass to ride it on their way out. This wouldn’t be an issue if Universal didn’t load 90-100% of the attraction with Express Pass. If they alternated a bit more or cut off the passes for the last 20 minutes of the night, it wouldn’t be such a pain for the stand-by line. I realize we could’ve paid $200+tax to get the card, but that seemed a bit excessive. We did get through everything we wanted to ride since we’re not coaster fans & were able to use single rider lines on a few attractions.
