Video: LEGOLAND Florida Peek – World’s Largest LEGO Theme Park

Saturday, October 15th marks the Grand Opening of LEGOLAND Florida, a whole theme park made from 50 million of the small, plastic, LEGO bricks.  The new park is located 45 min west of the Orlando tourist mecca on the former Cypress Gardens property, and is specifically geared to younger children between the ages of 2-12.  Continue after the break for LEGOLAND’s video offering a sneak peek at the park.

LEGOLAND, FL consists of 10 new lands including: LEGO Kingdoms, Miniland USA (full of LEGO models), Land of Adventure, and Pirate’s Cove to name a few.  However, in addition to the 10 lands and attractions, LEGOLAND preserved the Cypress Gardens botanical gardens that date back to 1939 as well as the water ski show that was a hallmark of the Cypress Gardens days.

The DIS Unplugged’s Kathy Werling was on hand for the media preview of the new park on October 14th – so be sure to watch for all her photos and report.
