Video: Construction of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom

In this video, released by Disney, we get a glimpse of the hustle and bustle as Roy Disney oversees construction of Florida’s Magic Kingdom prior to 1971.  Watch a timelapse of Cinderella’s Castle built around its steel skeleton.  The Liberty Tree is brought in and finds a home in Liberty Square.  Monorail cars and steam engines are driven on flatbed trucks before being lowered onto their tracks, all while signs on the Main Street railroad station and Cinderella’s Castle constantly remind workers, “Remember, Opening October, 1971.”
