Ice Cream For Breakfast is an awareness and fundraising campaign for Give Kids The World (GKTW). Families at GKTW enjoy ice cream any time of the day, and the idea for the campaign came from one former Wish Family who celebrates the anniversary of their trip to GKTW by eating ice cream for breakfast just like they did in the Village. Former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner has been bringing families to GKTW since 2002, and Kurt along with his wife Brenda and their seven children (pictured below) are now the official spokesfamily for the “Ice Cream For Breakfast” campaign. Continue after the break for a video about the campaign, and to learn more about how you and your family can get involved.
To support GKTW, you can donate a “Scoop of Hope” for just $5.00. Each “Scoop of Hope” will help GKTW continue to serve ice cream for breakfast year round. You can donate your scoop of hope by clicking here. If you want to call in your “Scoop of Hope”, you can text the word “Scoop” to 50555 and automatically donate $10 right away. If you’d like to help raise awareness about the work of GKTW, you can host an ice cream social in your neighborhood. GKTW will even provide an “Ice Cream For Breakfast Toolkit” with everything you need to get started. So go ahead, indulge your kids with ice cream for breakfast! It’s OK when it’s helping children and their families going to GKTW.
