I’m pleased to announce the release of the official iPhone app for the DIS – eTicket.
eTicket represents what I like to consider the very best of the DIS condensed into a powerful research planning tool for the iPhone and iPod touch. We have mapped nearly 3,000 locations throughout Walt Disney World and Disneyland – locations that are displayed on a satellite map covering all of Disney property on both coasts.
The DIS menu database provides recent menus from all Walt Disney World and Disneyland restaurants (both table service and counter service) and the DIS Ratings and Reviews database provides real time reviews from DIS visitors.
eTicket is also the best way to experience DISBoards.com on the iPhone. A unique interface (available only thru eTicket) provides easy and robust access to all 30,000,000 posts on DISBoards.com – you can even search the boards for information on individual attractions and restaurants with one click right from within the application.
eTicket also allows you to save information to your own personal itinerary. You can include all your hotel and flight information to have easy, one stop access to it right within the application. You can even add custom points to a map to remind you where your hotel room is or where you parked your car (I insisted on the latter as I never remember where I parked).
While eTicket will work with the iPod touch, those using the iPhone 3G or 3GS will be able to use real-time GPS data within the parks to show you what’s near by. Have a craving for soup? Just use eTicket to filter out all restaurant locations serving soup – check out menus and read reviews to decide where you’ll have lunch.
And this is only the beginning. Our development team is already hard at work on the next version of the application. Of course, anyone who purchases eTicket will automatically receive all future updates at no cost. You can read all about it on the DIS at http://www.wdwinfo.com/eticketapp or visit http://www.eticketapp.com
Below is a video that shows the many features available in eTicket-WDW and eTicket-DL.
