I was one of the screaming fans at the parade today at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for American Idol’s latest winner Kris Allen. My daughter was loving every minute of it. She is a big Kris Allen fan.
We got to see him filming some spots for the American Idol Experience. The girls in the crowd kept yelling to him and he seemed to love every minute of his popularity. Last nights winner of American Idol Experience also got to film with Kris.
Finally it was time for the parade. We were up by the American Idol theatre so we could hear the police escort coming. All too quickly he went past us. Mickey Mouse rode in the car with him and they got out and greeted some of the fans in the audience.
He did a quick interview and then he sang the song Heartless for the crowd. Everyone was screaming and yelling. I have never seen so many cameras in one place before. He posed for pictures with Minnie Mouse. I thought it was very cute. You can see Kris is enjoying every moment of this.
We were then ushered into the American Idol Experience theater. We were treated to a performance with three great singers. Kris Allen did an interview but didn’t sing. He came back at the end to announce the winner of the 11:00 show.
I love the fact that I live in Orlando and can visit the theme parks whenever I want but today was a special treat for us. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I wish you could have been there.
